366 pictures and tons of stories later...

This is going to be a VERY long post... be prepared!
Sorry I have been so MIA.
This holiday has been a whirl wind of family, weather, presents and life!
It all started the weekend before Christmas when my Dad flew in town to be with all of us for an early Christmas and my birthday... It was a FUN trip! Gavin and my Dad made Travis a REAL (his size) tool bench and he was in BOY heaven! Then the Tuesday before Christmas my Mom and Step-Dad came over for Santa and our gift exchange! Travis was just blown away with gifts and loved every little second of it. So much that he refused to eat in case he were to miss something. Boys... argh! Wednesday morning at 530am we headed to the airport... too dang early for me, but it was really a perfect time to travel with a busy almost 3 (AHHH) year old! We headed to Phoenix AZ and then rented a car to drive the 2 1/2 hours north to Flagstaff where Gavin's aunt, uncle and cousins live. The drive was amazing. Through the mountains, climbing from the desert to the top of the mountains. From 70+ degree weather to 4 1/2 feet of snow and freezing temps! As we were driving up the mountains, at every climate change you would see something different. From cactus to ever greens... it was really a neat drive! We got to Flagstaff about 230 in the afternoon and were ready to play in the snow! Gav's immediately family (us included) rented a house for the week. It was perfect for the 11 of us. 3 bedrooms... a pull out sofa and 2 people on the floor. Not to shabby! We dropped out stuff off, got our snow clothes and headed to the Fam's house. Travis was BLOWN away by the snow. Almost as tall as him in certain places, he would step down and be waist deep. His favorite part was being able to eat the WHITE snow... hahahaha! We played through running noses and freezing fingers and had a blast! The first night we did our big gift exchange and Trav stayed up later then he has in his life... and survived with grace so we were all happy about that! The next morning (Christmas morning) we all got up and build a 7+foot snowman for Travis in the rented out back yard! I think the big boys had more fun then anyone (of course!) We topped Frosty off with a scarf, pine cones, whiskers, boobs and a cup... Check out the picture, he was a site to see! Travis slept VERY well.. YIPPEEE! The rest of the time we were on vacation we had a wedding renewal, went sledding, went to the Grand Canyon and had a blast spending wonderful time with Gavin's family! The main reason for our trip was Gavin's parents 40th anniversary. They renewed their vows... I cried like a baby and it was just perfect! We headed home a few days early (I was homesick) and my niece and nephew were in town. Travis was elated to see them!!! We spent as much time as we could with the kids and Trav spent the night at my parents house on New Years Eve night, so they had all 3 of their grand kids under 1 roof! Gavin and I had a wonderful night... we went to dinner with some of our closest friends and then to a party at another couple friends house! It was so fun! They had a fortune teller, beer pong, and karaoke! Of course I got my cards read (too fun) and I cant tell if I was tipsy enough to give too much info or this guy was a pure genius! HA!
He said I will have a wonderful next 6 months! YAY! Gavin and I were hating life on New Years day and just chilled all day bit on the 2nd we got a wonderful new toy! ROCKBAND for the Wii!
My niece and I convinced the Game Stop guy to sell us one that was on reserve and came home to Gavin who was more excited then a kid in a candy store! We Rocked out for 2 days and then collapsed...
I dropped Trav off at school this morning and am taking the day to get my life back in order. My computer was in the shop for over 2 weeks getting its entire insides re-placed. NUTTS! good thing Apple paid for it or I would have been laptop-less for ever! (VERY PRICEY!)

So, that's my story!
I have missed all this blogging business but to be honest it was really nice to NOT be able to open my laptop for a few weeks. Its been hard to get back in the swing of life!

I cant wait for this year! 2009... can you believe it? I cant! When I was a kid I seriously thought by the time we were in the year 2009 we would be in flying cars :)

10 splatters!:
