Best Friends!
Recently, Sasha and Travis have become the bestest of friends!
I find it unreal how tolerant she is of his loving...
and how he lays all over her all the time!
She will just lay there and let him hug and love on her...
Thankfully he does not pull her hair or hit her!

Yes, and sometimes she will give him a little loving in return.(my mom will flip seeing this picture!)
He LOVES to cuddle next to her on the couch while he is watching cartoons... even though it is for just a few seconds. She is watching too!
This last picture is my favorite of them together... it shows the love he has for her and just how large she is compared to him.
I am so glad they love each other! The best part is seeing how much she loves him in return... she smiles when she sees him, waits by the door for us to come home and I will put him down and she licks and rubs on him. When he wakes up in the morning she is usually the first one at his door. When is storms outside she will almost bang down his door to get into his room and check on him.They are truly BEST BUDS!

Thirteen Reasons I can't be mad that Travis broke my pretty vase....
1. I should not have had it at arms reach of a toddler.
2. I saw him reaching for it and did not get to him fast enough.
3. He looked at me with his big brown eyes and said "Uh Oh" afterwards.
4. He reached up to hug me as if to say "sorry momma".
5. I went and put him in the other room so i could clean it up and he kept saying "no-no" like he knew he did something wrong.
6. He pointed to it from across the room and looked so sad that he broke it.
7. He grabbed his duster and tried to help me clean it up.
8. He sat right in my lap when I was picking up the pieces and attempted to help.
9. After I wiped the itty bitty pieces up with a wet paper towel he tried to do the same with a dirty bib.
10.He went and got his baseball bat and tried to put it in the vases place.
11. He was super loving afterwards...
12. He gave me a HUGE hug when we finally got it all picked up!

Its a Funny one!
Travis is now almost 17 months old and talks ALL THE TIME!He says words that I never new a toddler could say... like the letter w- "double u"
New words come out of his mouth daily now and it is so fun to try and figure out exactly what he is trying to say. It really amazes me how clear a lot of his words are.
Its unreal sometimes... and then it gets bad!
We had some friends over on Saturday night for dinner and drinks and we were all hanging out outside on the patio and I wanted to put the baby swing up for my friends little one. I was holding Travis becasue he was having a MAJOR mommy moment (if you are a mommy, you know these times!), and I grabbed the swing and attempted to reach up to hook it to the chains. I could not really reach it so Joe helped me out... After it was up I attempted to switch the latch on the back so it would lay backwards for the baby, and I was having a hard time and grunted and said "damn, this is hard to do." Then Travis proceeded to say "OH Sh*t" just like he knew exactly what was happening and how frustrated I was getting. It was as clear as a grown-up saying it, I was totally floored... I looked at him in the eyes and said "Trav what did you just say?" and again "oh Sh*t" I about died! Everyone was laughing and egging him on.... He ws walking around the patio saying "oh sh*t, oh sh*t" for like 5 minutes... NICE huh?!
Guess we have to totally watch what comes out of our mouths from now on!
What amazed me is that he used it in the right context...
I am praying these words are totally out of his head when he is around other people that wouldn't find it as amusing!
** and the picture... HAHAAAA, yes sometimes my perfect little angel is a little naughty! He knows that getting on the coffee table is a no-no, but he will sneak and do it when I am not looking, he was totally busted the other day... He has not figured out that mommy's have eyes in the back of their heads!**

Neighborhood Sprayground
Where we live there are like 3 neighborhoods that come together really close to an elementary school... behind the school is a public playground. Last year when the city was building it they installed a water area called a sprayground. Since last summer we were in a drought no one has gotten to play in the water area and then BOOM.... more water then Texas knows what to do with so the sprayground is open for the kiddos! I pulled T up there in his wagon a few weeks ago and he was totally interested until he slipped and fell, then it was ALL over!
Today, Gav and I wheeled him up there in his wagon (again) and he was loving it!

There is one main water feature in the middle and about 6 or 7 spray areas around it.
Travis was very interested as long as Daddy did it first!

CATastrophe
I have been dreading writing this post because once I did I would be admitting to myself that there is a big problem with my very loved cats, Stanley & Stella.About 6 weeks ago G and I noticed tht the cats were peeing on some things, mostly random piles of clothes on the floor... but occasionally I smelled something on a blanket. It is a super nasty smell and impossible to get it out of fabric. ..
They peed on Gavin's dry cleaning bag and ruined over $300 worth of clothes... they have gotten a ton of my stuff and Travis too. I have washed everything TONS of times and even with baking soda or oxyclean and even though the smell seems to be out, when the fabric gets wet you can smell it again.
I took both of the cats to the vet to make sure they didn't have a urinary tack infection and both pretty much tested negative for one, but Stanley had some cells in his pee-pee so they gave him and antibiotic to clear it up... I sprayed their pee-pee areas in the house with vinegar and everything seemed to be better until a few days ago. Now I have noticed cat pee-pee smells again on random piles... Its NASTY!
G and I have bought them toys, given them more attention and done everything in our power to make them feel loved and wanted.. thinking that maybe the hustle of having Travis they feel a bit neglected.
So, whats next? What do we do...
I would hate to have to get rid of my cats, but they really are ruining tons of our stuff...
I am heartbroken. Any advice?

Hangin' with the big kids!
My Niece and Nephew have been in town since last Tuesday and are here until a week from today...
Since my parents live in town we usually share the visit and the kiddos will stay about half of the time with us.
Travis has been in baby HEAVEN with the big kids! He thinks he is big enough to do exactly what they do! Especially with Jackson... they all have become great buddies!
We got them over the weekend and had a blast! Jackson brought his Wii video game over and we have been having a blast bowling, boxing and playing tennis! It is the COOLEST video game ever! You actually play the sports like you would in real life. UP OFF OF THE COUCH! ( see the video below of Gav and Jackson boxing)
My Niece and I always play together and Gavin and Jackson are always on a team! Alana kick some booty in bowling last night with 2 games over 200 pts WOW!
I totally want a Wii now! I have gotten a great workout boxing with Alana all weekend, I am actually sore! HA, FUNNY! They are actually coming out with a workout Wii game! AWESOME!!!

Home again...
The 3 of us just got back from a family reunion in St. Louis... It was Travis' first plane ride and first time to stay in a hotel... we did great overall! He had a runny nose the whole time, either a little cold or teeth ( I HATE TEETHING!) He slept the entire plane ride to St. L but fussed the whole way home (SHEESH!) He slept like a champ and really did great with all the attention (of course) and hugs from all these people he didn't know!
Friday Night we had dinner at this cool restaurant in down town St. L close to the arch. It was a cajun type place that had Irish decorations... whatever works right???
Travis was on a roll showing off for everyone!
Then Saturday the majority of the family went to the arch but T and I stayed back with Nana (G's mom) and Cousin Lonna since I had been once before when my dad lived there and T was not feeling 100% with his runy nose. But, hanging with the girls was great fun for T!
Then that afternoon G watched T and I went to old downtown St. Charles with some cousins and my MIL and shopped a little.. It was so beautiful! It had brick streets and old shops that probably use to be houses... besides the heat it was a blast!
That night we had the BIG party for Jill & Bill a combined 100th b-day!
Jill is 49 and Bill is 51
It was at Dacve & Busters in a special room (like a reception) and we had a blast! Travis had a love affair with a green balloon and we got to listen to family members Roast Jill & Bill... it was a riot!
Travis was in HOG heaven in the arcade area, the lights were amazing to him!
Then Sunday we ate breakfast with the entire family and hung out until we headed homeward!

Our 4th of July...
We had a fun 4th.. starting at about 4 some friends came over to cook out and play!
We had a blast hanging out in the FINALLY nice weather... for an 80% chance of rain we sure did get a day full of sunshine! I tell yah what... the Texas Weather men are NEVER right!
The kiddos had a BLAST playing in the water and hanging out outside. Because of all the rain all of our kiddos have been trapped in doors YUK!
Gavin grilled some awesome bbq chicken and we chowed down on some YUMMY food for dinner!
It's a bummer that we did not get to see any fireworks but we did hear a few booms every once n a while!

Rain! Rain! GO AWAY!
If you watch the news at all I am sure you have heard of the CRAZY rain that Texas has been getting... Normally this time of year we are in a bad drought and on water restrictions.. NOT this summer! We have a boat on Lake Texoma and it is totally flooded! The lake is higher then it has been since 1990...
