Bradley was my first baby Love... He was born with I was 12 (he is 15 now) and I just fell in love!
He has always had a very special place in my heart and now that Travis is old enough to get to know people he has fallen in love with Brad also! What a pair they have become!
I hate that he lives 5 hours away, I wish he would move here and be around all the time...

Nightmares

The past few weeks I have been waking up anywhere between 2-4am from horrible SCARY nightmares... Most of them end in me being pushed off of something or being caught by someone that is chasing me. In all of them I am unable to scream or run. I have never had nightmares like these. Whats the deal? I wake up with my heart racing, sweating and just terrified.
I use to have a dream book that I would look in occasionally for fun to interpret my silly random dreams, but I can not find it now and so I looked up online what these things mean...

Chase
To dream that you are being chased, signifies that you are avoiding a situation that you do not think is conquerable. It is often a metaphor for some form of insecurity. You may be running away from a primal urge or fear.

Push

To dream that you are pushed or being pushed, signifies that you are being pressure or feel coerced into doing something. Alternatively, it implies your need for perfection. You may be finding that you do not have enough time to complete a task.

Scream
If you try to scream, but no sound comes out, then is suggests that you need to immediately confront some situation. Perhaps you are unable to pinpoint your fears or feelings.

This all seems to make sense to me in a strange (SUPER WEIRD) way!
This Thursday I am going to California with Gavin on a trip he won through work. This will be the longest time I have ever been away from Travis. The longest since he was born was a little over 24 hours... Gav and I are taking the same flight to Cali which makes me nervous ... I know it is way safer to be in a plane then a car when it comes to accidents BUT if something does happen T will loose 2 parents. Go ahead and say it... "Lindsay you are over reacting! " But, this scares me!
I have been working on my living will, which should have been done a while ago, But I wanted to make sure if something ever does happen to both or either of us Travis is in good hands.
I think being nervous about this trip is really making me worry even in my dreams.
Trav is staying with my momma, who always does a great job with him... prob better then me, so I shouldn't worry. I guess the worry is for selfish reasons... I don't want to be away from my baby :(
I do need this trip though and am SOOOO excited to go to San Fransisco and Napa Valley!!!!
I do find it hard to sleep without a monitor next to my head and the music playing that T sleeps to. I just am so nervous about the whole situation and deep down know that it is just silly to be that way...
Sheesh, what do I do to get over this fear?
Any advice from you experienced parents?

Spa FUN!

When I nannied the triplets in college they had this bottom thingy for their spa that turned the sp into a baby size pool... pretty much it was a floor that sat on the bench in the spa and made the water the height that a toddle could play in. Well, I wanted one SO bad for my parents spa.. I got on craistlist.com and found one for nothing compared to the normal price... so G went and picked it up and cut it to fit their spa and today Trav got to play in the water... and it was AWESOME! My cousin Brad came in town from AR for 2 weeks and was having the best time teaching Trav to pour water on his daddy... it was a fun time!

See how T is getting to stand in the middle of the spa? That is what the floor lets you do... BEST invention EVER!

My hubby was at a concert, Michelle's Hubby went out after work and the other Michele's hubby was in Florida for business.... so we all got together, had some dinner and played last night!
I gotta tell you, it is wonderful to have friends with kiddos!

We all tried so hard to get the 3 kids to sit next to each other for a picture.... DOUBT IT!
One would look, 2 would run away... 2 would look and one would run away!
ARGH!

Fathers Day (well, weekend!)

This weekend The 3 of us went to Austin to visit G's parents... (Nana & Papa)
Austin is beautiful.... I LOVE all the trees and hills, it is a world away from the scenery here in North Texas! We had a great trip... went to a huge indoor garage sale and antique show, a fun dinner at an outdoor Mexican restaurant on Lake Travis , and to Fathers Day brunch at the Hyatt Hotel.

Travis did great on both car rides, he fell asleep about 1/2 way both ways and slept for a full hour and a half (GREATNESS!) He was a real champ the entire weekend! What a good boy we have!

I tell yah what... Neosporin works wonders!
It is almost completely healed and it has been almost 1 full week!
I can hardly see it when I look at him. This picture was taken yesterday and it has improved even more since then!

Pain in the butt...

... Literally!

I went to the Doc today and guess what?
I have a fractured tail bone!
NICE, huh?

Well, a while ago I slipped and busted it in the kitchen. I had landed right on my tail bone.. it hut SO bad!
I thought I probably just bruised my butt and in a week or so I would be ok... YAH, it still hurts and gets worse with certain exercises I do, like squats! OUCH!
For the past 2 days in Strollerfit we have done a TON of butt tightening exercises, I mean it is swimsuit season, but all the BUTT things are kicking my butt! HA! I could barely walk last night... so I called the doc and got in this morning and found out that the pain in my butt wasn't from a crumby customer but is literally a PAIN IN MY BUTT! I have to be a medical mystery with all the goofy problems and injuries I have had throughout my lifetime!

Warning, Big VENTING ahead!

So, the purpose of really having a blog is to be able to write stuff down that is in your mind... right?

I have, a few times within my 632 posts on this blog, written about really personal issues.. I have received some harsh comments and some rude emails regarding some things I have written about.
Not that is was anyones business, especially those people who don not know me personally... I know there are trolls in this world and especially online when they can hide behind the complexity of cyber space... Anyways, I have an issue, something that is really bothering me!
As most of you know I am a stay-at-home mom that started my own little business of designing blogger templates. I love it... really I do! I mostly love the design work and have really grown pretty close to a few of the gals I have designed for... even the ones that live the farthest away from me! (Love yah Pearl!) I have learned and grown so much with the help of all of my customers!!!! Sure as always there are some people you don't mesh as well with and some that you can read each others thoughts, I think that happens with any situation in life and/or business. But, I still maintain a friendly yet professional attitude and move on, without one complaint from the customer... Until this week... I had been working on this ladies blog for over a week... 65+ emails, a ton of IM chats ect... changed the header over 15 times, the image on the header 3 times, the template colors, background ect... I had worked my tail off for this blog. Keeping in my mind that yes, I am a mom and wife first... but I really wanted to make this customer happy and get on with my other new designs. Being an artist or designer, your spark for a project can go away if you spend to much time on it. I think that when you do art, that comes from your heart for someone else... and the customer never seems content, that hurts deeper then it really should. Mostly because your artistic eye comes from within, not just knowledge or guidelines you have learned through a business . Anyways, after what I thought was another finally approval I got yet another list of things to change... Since I had become so close with this woman I decided to upload the template to her site and then ask for a payment while I finished the (what I thought HAD to be) the last list of changes... which I should not have done. She im'ed me a little later with another group of changes and by this time I was burnt out... I was getting annoyed with all the work I had done and the fact that none of it was good enough. I asked her to send me a another list of changed via email so I have them in front of me... it is hard to get a full list off of IM when there is chatting in the midst of it. I said to her I would change these last few things and then it would be done. I thought she would take it wrong so I told her I was not trying to be rude, but with the other customers I had It would just be easier for me if I had a list in my email to work with. She blew up... flipped out and canceled her test blog I was working on, changed her passwords to her photobucket account and has since blown me off... All of this with a bill sitting in her email from me. Not a small bill, I purchased 3 header pictures for her and not to mention the cost of the template ect... and she is lucky I didn't add my hourly rate on top of that. I was really being generous. I have never pissed a customer off, so of course this bothered me... I then emailed her and asked for just a payment for the money I paid out for the template images (on istock),which she agreed to pay. BUT She took off with a free template... NICE! I feel totally taken advantage of! I really do not know where some people get off treating others that do "services" for them with such disrespect. Its like there are people in this world that walk around with a chip on their shoulder thinking the universe owes them something, so they take that out on anyone and everything they come in contact with.
What a sad way to live your life!
After this experience I have been a little under the weather... Yes, I have designed TONS blogs without one negative remark, but that does NOT make this experience less painful. I guess it always sucks when you get your first customer that totally takes advantage of you.

Lesson Learned for me? Yeah I guess.... But dang, just be NICE!

No One warned me about the joys of toddlers walking and attempting to run....

Travis has become a BRUISER of the worst kind!
He has fallen and busted his lip, bruised his eye (in the same place as the new boo boo) Scratched his cheek on a speaker, and the newest addition was last night when he was messing around in the shower and slipped and busted his eye....

Yep, Travis has his first shiner!
This picture was taken last night about 30 minutes after it happened... Today I thought it was gonna be really nasty looking, but it is not too bad. His eye lid is a little purple and his cut is still ink but scabbed over... We have been putting neosporin on it a few times today and it seems to already be making a difference!
I think I need to get him a helmet to wear around! I am so paranoid now that he is gonna hurt himself that I have not sat down all day. I have been following him around and watching his every move!

Sheesh! This is gonna wear me out!

15 Month Check Up

Today (this morning) was Trav's 15 month check up...
ARGH!
I HATE HATE HATE shot days!
This was by far the worst shot day we have had since he was born!
He is a strong little dude so they nurses had me hold his legs down and so they could count to 3 and both stick him at once... HA, it didn't work so well!
He kicked like a bucking bronco withhis left leg and the shot went flying... it the needle was bent in half when we picked it ip and T had a nice 1/2 inch scrap tch on his thigh. Bummer part, he had to finish getting that shot and one more. OUCH!
Thank goodness Gavin went with us, because I was sick with pain for my baby!!
He cried for a few minutes and then just got fussy... the nurses felt awful and he wouldnt even look t either one of them (holding grudges already!)
We got in the car, he drank some juice, ate a few goldfish, took some Tylenol and he was out for the car ride home! Now he is napping... My poor little guy! Thank goodness he is too young to remember this!

Mr. T's 15 Month stats....

Height- 33 3/4 inches= 110th percentile!
Weight- I weighted him this morning and he was 27.5 lbs and they weighted him and it said he was 33lb.... I do not think he is that heavy at all... so on the chart I looked at 30lb's and that is the 95th percentile...
I didn't get his head measurement... but it had grown! Its all that knowledge.. LOL!


He is a big ol' boy! Walking and Talking all the time!
I cant seem to remember when he was so tiny, My momnesia is still in full force! Does it ever go away???
I love this age, he is quite a character! He knows when he is funny too, and he will laugh at himself! (kinda like his mommy and gigi do!)

UPDATES!!!!

Wow, I have been slacking on posts lately...

You are gonna laugh at why... I got my nails done (fake ones put on) about 3 weeks ago and they have grown out so long that I have trouble typing.! I am already a HORRIBLE typer ( thank goodness for spell check!) I HAVE TO get them done this week, they have grown so long I feel like a goober doing stuff!
I wrote a quick post after my race on Saturday, It was fun. One of my friend and I were filmed for a news broadcast getting a banana before the race.. they made us wait and walk up to the table to be handed a banana by 6 people, it was pretty silly!
I raised the most money for the strollerfit team....

Here are a few updates!

This past weekend my aunt, uncle, baby cousin and my grandfather (Travis Great grandfather, Poppa) came to visit. They stayed with my mom and S-dad... and we visited all 3 days they were here! Trav fell in LOVE with my grandfather, he was my favorite person growing up so it meant the world to me to see him holding and loving on Travis. Here is a picture of them walking around after the rain... Travis would point to something and Poppa would walk over and show him whatever he wanted to see... it was precious!Sunday afternoon, gavin put together this little wheel barrow he got for Travis.. They both worked really hard screwing all the screws( yes, Travis HAD to help!) Then we all went and played in the front yard.. I got some precious pictures of my 2 guys!Travis had his first BAD boo boo today... he tripped on a pillow and fell into the arm of the couch. He busted his bottom lip open and was bleeding and screaming. Oh my goodness, I was about to cry with him. Poor Little guy!
I wanted to take a picture of it, but forgot :(

Also... today was Travis' first swim lesson... He was scared at first, but not of the water so much but the noise that the swim class on the other side of the pool, the big kids splash a LOT!
He was too cute in his swim suit, swim shirt and water shoes... he is such a stud muffin!Our swim lesson are Monday-Thursday at 430pm., for 2 weeks! WOW huh?
Hopefully this intense training will help out a little!
The instructor told us that Trav is a natural sinker... hahahaaa, bottom heavy !
To fix that we have to help him arch his back... Ummm, okay how do you do that with a 15 month old??

Now for a silly question... Do any of ya'll watch the Backyardigans with your kiddos?

RACE FOR A CURE 2007

Today was my Susan G. Komen Race for a Cure 2007 even t
I was so excited I barely slept and got up at 550 am to get ready for the big race... we had to be there at 7-715 YUK! EARLY!
It was crazy to wake up to my alarm since Travis is usually my alarm clock every morning...
Almost all the girl from my stroller fit class were walking so I thought I would just walk with them so I didn't have to run alone... it was like a herd of cattle!!!It took us 37 minutes to hit the 1 mile marker.. . so My friend Robyn and I (both kidless) decided to run the last 2 miles...
We crossed the finish like at 51 minutes
That means we ran 2- 6/7 minute miles... GO US!

I was so proud of myself for running so well even though it wasn't the full 3 miles (5K)

I will post some pictures as soon as we get them!

15 Months Old!

What a little dude I have!
He is walkikng all over the place, talking all the time and had a little silly personality!
His 15 month appointment is next week so iw ll have to give you his new stats then... but let me tell yah, he is a tall and string little dude!

What T is doing these days...
Anything and Everything outside
Stacking and opening and closing everything
He LOVES nutra grain bars, drinkable yogurt, spaghetti and anything in a big cup
He tries to kiss the animals all the time and had finally learned to pet them and not hit or pull hair.
He dances ANYTIME he hears music... and I mean ANYTIME!
He actually watches Play With Me Sesame
He pretends top read books himself (LOVE IT)
He HATES and I mean HATES shoes!

He is just a little dude!
I still can not believe that 15 months ago I had this guy... time flies so fast!

He is the best thing that has ever happened to me... and I am enjoying him more and more every second!
