Travis was having a BLAST playing in the bathtub... well before he actually got in!

On my new Mac Laptop there is this program called Photo booth.... it is super fun!
You see yourself on the screen and take a picture. It has a 3 second count down like a photo booth at the mall or wherever... I showed this to Trav yesterday and he LOVED it!
He thinks it is great t see himself on the monitor

The funny thing about this is... sometimes I accidentally hit the button for this program and it will pop up under what I am working on and take my picture without me knowing... Those are the classic images that you guys will NEVER get to see! HA! Can you imagine some of the silly faces you make when you are concentrating on something. Like reading this post or writing an email...

Travis meets the Easter Bunny!

Today Michelle and I took Baby Grace and Travis to get their pictures taqken with the Easter Bunny! Last Year Trav was only a few weeks old so we didnt do pictures... so this was Travis' first time meeting the Easter Bunny. I was all prepared for drama and there was none. He sat right down on the Eater Bunny's Lap and started blabbing.
Of Course the woman didn't put the picture of him smiling really big on the disk, s... oh well. This one he is pointing at me, so it is worth having!
This Easter Bunny was pretty cute, but they really need to go clean his face a little... looks like he has had a bit to much Easter Candy!

I had to add Baby Grace's picture... OMG, could she be any cuter with that bog bow adn sweet smile! She did GREAT!

(Because I refuse to admit that I am really this clumsy!)

It was awful this evening putting Travis to bed... My klutziness was on overload!
I went to get Travis' milk ready and spilled it ALL over the floor!
Not just on the floor, the jug flipped over and it sprayed on the back splash behind the stove, on the stove, on all the knives and utensils we have next to the stove, it got all over the light underneath the microwave, all in the drawer next to the stove, all over the salt and pepper shakers and left a HUGE puddle on the floor. Of course, at that time Travis is screaming at me because he is so tired and wants to go to bed, the cats are licking their lips and I scream Sasha's 6 favorite words.... "Sasha, come here and eat this..." she knows that means something good is coming her way! Like the best Hoover in town, she starting licking the milk up off the floor while the cats were hissing at each other in hopes that one would win the entire mess on the counter top. I was trying to hurry and get it cleaned up before T turned red and started dry heaving (he was crying really hard at this time)
I got the magnet (we have those tot locks that use magnets on the cabinets) and dropped the darn thing right on my pinky toe... OUCH! So, I was hopping up and down, gritting my teeth and trying not to scream some nasty words since Trav now repeats everything you say and I am sure my hubby would not be happy coming home to a kiddos saying Sh*t as one of his first "real" words! I finally shook it off and got in the cabinet with all the cleaning junk... I grabbed the Lysol-bleach counter cleaner and tried to spray it... of course it was not coming out... like the genius I am I shook it and make it bubble... that doent help pump the junk out of the spray part. I unscrewd the cap and was just going to try and spinkle a little on the floor and counter and if you can just imagine what happened next... I spilled the entire damn bottle. Nice huh?
Nothing like the smell of milk, Lysol and bleach together! GAG!
Travis is yelling night night at me, the dog is backing away from the stinky smell and the cats have moved on to the back door where they are attempting to break the glass and catch the birds that are taking shelter funder or patio from the rain. Have you ever heard a cat bark? Mine do and it is loud and obnoxious and drives the dog and Travis crazy. I looked up to grab paper towels and of course... none! SO , I leap over my mess towards the pantry to grab a new roll and start tearing the plastic off as I walk back... I guess I was to into opening the paper towel roll that I forgot to pay attention to where the big puddle of milk and Lysol-bleach was... my feet came up from under me and I bust it right in the middle of the wetness. OUCH@#!@*!!! Now I have a broken pinky toe and broken butt bone, a crying kid, two loud cats and a dog that is licking her chomps wanting to drink the rest of the milk that is now contaminated with bleach. I rest my head on my new roll of paper towels and pray for 1 second of sanity... HA! HA! HA!
I rip like half of the paper towels off the roll and soak up the nastiness on the floor. I pick up all the stuff that is milk splattered on the counter and throw it in the sink. I get more towels and soak up the counter and wash my hands, grab Travis and go sit in his rocking chair and sing him to sleep.
I am now blogging about all this mess before I finish cleaning it up because I just needed a second to sit back and reflect on how damn clumsy I really am!
Sheesh, I need to go to bed early!

Whatsahappening?

Its Sunday night already... WOW! I wish the weekend was the 5 days and the work week 2!!
Gavin and I went up to the lake and attempted to baby proof our slip. WOW, what a job! Gav worked his booty off picking up the old nasty carpet the old owners left and tearing apart the old nasty cabinets. We got a great deal on a extra large rubber maid cabinet from the Home Depot Floor Store since they are going out of business. Go US! Bargain shoppers! :-)
I picked Trav up from my moms and headed home, exhausted!
I was worn out from driving the hour to Texoma and back... not the drive but being so nervous that my jeep would crap out on me. My power steering went out a few months back and my transition had had major issues, I was just paranoid it would all happen all over again on a highway... can you imagine your steering wheel locking up while you are driving 75 mph? SCARY! So, Gavin and I are trying to figure out what kind of SUV I wanna get now. This jeep is just a LEMON! Anyone have any thoughts on awesome SUV's for mamma's??? I really like the Toyota 4-Runner and the Dodge Durango...
Tonight we went to dinner with Gavin's rents, they are moving to Austin next weekend and we wanted to get some Nana and Papa time before next Saturday when we will have breakfast and say goodbye.
I am so excited about my Splat Template contest...have you seen how many people have signed up? OMG, there are tons! Just a hint to what is gonna happen on the 1st when I draw names... there will be a first,second and third place winner and everyone else who signed up as on April 1st will get a little incentive to purchase a custom Splat template! YAY! So tell all your friends, the drawing is a week away!
Okay, gotta go watch my TiVoed Grease, you're the one that I want!

Memories...

I totally am a believer that smells bring back memories.... I have posted about this before... Read it here.

Well, The other day i bought the big box of baby wipes... not the normal non-smelling, hypo-allergenic, generic wipes from Walmart... these were the Huggies, gentle Rub special wipes... in other words, "the ones on sale"
I opened the box and was flooded with memories! These were the same exact wipes that the hospital gave us when Travis was born, and I think that was the last time I ever used them. The smell of these wipes brought tears to my eye, I was shocked at the things that I remembered. After a c-section and being sleep deprived for months,
momnesia kicks in and you (well, I did) have trouble remembering all the things from when you bitty baby was first born. Of course I remember the first time I saw Trav, his first diaper change and all the things that you will not allow yourself to forget.
But, smelling these wipes brought back the feelings I had, all the butterflies, all the anxious moments... I was shocked that something so insignificant could remind me of all that I forgot.
I have found myself singing the songs I first sang to Travis when he was first born and I know I have sang them in ages, I have found myself rubbing the back of his hand across my lips like I use to when he was first here...
I had to attach a picture of Travis when he was first born... this was taken by a friend of ours the day after he was born. He doesnt look like the same baby now. WOW, how time changes things!

I know this may sound silly, but I challenge you guys to find a smell that brings back memories, write it in a comment or post about it. I can not wait to read about all your memories!

A Bunch Of Updates...

Wow, I feel like I have not been on in forever.... its busy over here in TX!

After Trav's b-day party weekend, I kinda lost track of time....Sasha had her surgery and has 14 days of an antibiotic, I have had family in town, 2 colds (me & T), 2 new teeth, a ton of templates, a house cleaning session with Gav, learning how to use the Mac (man, is it ever different from a PC, and I LOVE the commercials!), A stroller fit playgroup, strollerfit family day on Saturday (gav went and worked out, heehee) and a birthday party on Saturday night... 2 wonderful surprises from 2 wonderful blogging buds.... Tasha and Lindsey both sent Trav a little something for his b-day! Sheesh, I am more worn out after writing it all...

Hey Everyone

Just wanting to slip in a little HELLO!
I want to let everyone know I have not forgotten about my blog :-)
We have just been crazy busy!
Trav and I have been fighting off this silly cold junk... and I think we are both FINALLY getting better!
My niece and nephew are visiting this week for spring break and we have all been trying to spend all our time together!
I have 15 templates in the works right now and I am just so surprised my little SAHM business has gotten so popular!

So, I will be back to my normal posting self as soon as I can catch my breath!

My New LapTop...

I GOT A MAC Book Pro!!!!!!!!!!!

WOOOHOOO!
I am sooo thrilled! Gavin is too, he has been on it ALL day installing all the programs I use to design templates and manage my 12,500 pictures. That's a ton, huh?!
All day Gav has been referring to everything with an i-in front of it... examples, Our i-Kid has i-Poop in his i-Diaper. HA, we have an i-Dog named i-Sasha and two i-Cats. EVERTHING is i-This and i-That! It is really driving me nuts, but kinda funny that he is that excited about my laptop!
Thank you to everyone that has purchased a blog template from me, you guys helped me get this AWESOME piece of equipment!
Now I need to work on creating some more awesome, beautiful templates...
hummm, what can I buy next?

Everyone & Everything is............

!SICK!

Travis has a double ear infection from teething and they Dr. said it is causing upper respiratory drainage... We went to Primacare yesterday and got an antibiotic. I HATE TEETHING!
I have been feeling a bit tight chested, having to clear my throat constantly... I thought it was allergies since we have been outside for HOURS every day for the past week since it is so beautiful here! Not anymore.. I think I have a cold and I am not to thrilled about it because my niece and nephew are here this week for spring break.
My computer is sick too!!!!!!!
It crashing anytime I have more then one program open which is ALL THE TIME!
So, now I am taking my Splat Template money and buying myself a new computer... a Laptop so I can work everywhere! At my moms house, outside when Travis is swinging (yah Right!) ect...
Hopefully I can get one today or tomorrow! My sweet hubby is doing the research for me since I cant on this computer!
Anyone have advice on a laptop with a semi- large screen, fast transitions from one program to another, good keyboard that isn't to narrow?
The poor Sasha, she had her surgery last week and is doing fine, but some days are still worse then others. I don't know if it is because she is old or what? But it makes me so sad to see her all mopey and blah!
Whats the deal with all the sickness these days... is it the weather? Time of year?

Hummm, Hi there!

I feel like I have kinda been out of the loop this week with blogging, template making, friends ect...
I guess I am still trying to recover from the 1st b-day, family being here and the Margarita machine!! Travis had his 1 year check up today and got 4 shots... FOUR SHOTS! YUKKY!
It was a mess... we got the the Dr. and he is my family doc. that I had Trav transferred to being my ex-pediatrician sucked and today I found another another GREAT reason for dumping them.
When we got to the Dr's office they had all of Trav's paper work and wanted to show me how screwed up the pediatrician was. SCREWED up! they had Travis marked down and not getting shots I knew he got and specific dates, had dates mixed up, some not on the shot record but hand written on another record. totally tangled, and nothing made sense... There was me, Dr. Gates, his nurse Jennifer and my mom all trying to figure out there records... To make a long story short, I have to go up there and get them to explain to me why they have dates and shots all messed up. It freaked me out because if I had to read those records there is no telling what shot I would have given him next., and since that pedi's office had numerous nurses, show would have known?
Also, and this is a warning to all parents. Trav had his shots today and they put 4 little round band-aids on his legs.. two on each. He took a nap today at my moms house and she had taken off his khakis so he could sleep more comfy, especially since it is 80 degrees today here and HOT! Since it is so warm when I went to take him home, I didn't put his pants on and he was in the car seat with full access to those band-aids. He pulled one off of his leg and it went in his mouth. I heard a weird noise from him and turned around and it looked like he was chewing on his tongue and gagging at the same time. I do not know how I got in the parking lot at that split second, but my guardian angels did a great job getting us there, I jumped out of the car and got inthe backseat and the band-aid out of his mouth in 2 seconds. He has kinda chocked it up because it was stuck to the far back top of this mouth.
So, my warning is for you ALL to watch very carefully when your child has those itty bitty round band-aids on.
On a better note...

Height- 32" = 80th percentile
Head- 95th percentile...
they say 1 year olds are going through the BIG HEAD stage heeheehee!

The BIG 1st Birthday Weekend!

Lets start with Thursday...
My baby boy turned 1 with a bang! He woke up so super happy and ready to go! We hung out for a bit, ate toast for breakfast ( he LOVES toast) and he took an early nap. My mom came over to hang out with the birthday boy and his bawling mom (I cried all day, happy tears thank goodness!)We went and ate Mexican food (T's fav) and went shopping for plants and stuff to get the house and back yard party ready. My mom had brought over a little cake and candle for Trav and he still is just not interested.... Then we met Gavin's mom at the Olive Garden for dinner ( My Salmon was nasty!) and she brought T a present and cake (still hated cake) Any other kid would have been on a HUGE sugar high... I guess I better be grateful, huh?

Friday- We went to Strollerfit and then my mom came over to help me watch Trav and finish getting the house cleaned and plant flowers... I am the luckiest person to have such a wonderful mother! I took Sasha to the vet and guess what... she has to have a tooth removed Monday morning... SURGERY! I am so nervous about it! We worked all day and all went to bed early... well Trav and I did. My wonderful hubby picked my dad and step-mom up at the airport at midnight YUK!

Saturday- Trav was up at 3am and was up till 5pm, yes we were both exhausted!!!!!!!!!! My step mom and I made cupcakes and cookies (SO CUTE!) and my dad and Gav went shopping for the junk to go in the margaritas. The bounce house and margarita machine got to the house at about 1030am. We got the house and kiddo all ready and started getting guests about 230.. my mom and sister-in-law and brother-in-law came over to help get last minute stuff ready and we were set for a BIG 1ST B-DAY PARTY! There were about 40 people total... a ton of kiddos, ton of food, ton of margaritas, and tons of presents! Travis was a little clingy most of the day, just tired and wanting to be held by anyone. He LOVED my brother-in-law (this was the first time they met)... Trav got some awesome toys and tons of GREAT clothes... I am all ready to start the thank-you cards! The kids LOVED the bounce house... all but Trav, he was NOT interested, OH WELL! I got some cute pictures of the other kiddos! The last guest left at like 830 and we got Travis to sleep and Gav, Dad, Steph and I collapsed on the couch! We all went to bed about 1030...

Sunday- Trav was up at 4... WHATS THE DEAL? So after trying my hardest to get him back to sleep I finally gave up and we hung out in the playroom. My step-mom got up about 530 after hearing the little dude and we just played until breakfast time. My dad got up an made us some omelets and toast... My SM got Trav down for a nap about 930 and when he got up at 1130 we went out for lunch and a bit of shopping... We met Gav's sister at this super yummy restaurant and had some yummy lunch and then did a few b-day present returns. Afterwards I had to take my dad and SM to the airport so they could head home... we were sad to see them leave! My sister-in-law got to stay a bit longer and hang out with Gav and Trav... man was Travis showing off for his Auntie Ashley! He adores her! We are now guest free, Trav is asleep... Gavin is on the couch watching TV and I am blogging (who would have thought, hahahahaaa!) Tomorrow I will be taking Sasha to the vet before we work out and I get to start working on a ton of new template and Trav and I are back to our normal life... but now I have a 1 year old!
